Tashilhunpo temple (Tashilunpo monastery)
Tibetan bkra-shis lhun-po means Maitreya Pagoda/Auspicious Mount Meru. It is the largest monastery in Shigatese, located halfway east of Mount Ni Ma. As a place of practice and propagation of Buddha Phat since the 4th generation of Panchen, Tashilhunpo combined with Sera, Drepung, Gandan to form the four largest monasteries of the Cach Lu sect in Lhasa. In addition to these four temples, there is also a combination with two monasteries of Thap Nhi (Thanh Hai) and La Bo Lang (Gan Su) to become the six major monasteries of the Cach Lu sect (6 main monasteries of the Cach Lu sect).
Tashilhunpo Pagoda has an area of 150,000 square meters, surrounded by a wall with a circumference of more than 3km. Overview, divided into 3 areas: Maitreya Palace, Xa Loi Relics of the Patriarchs, main communal temple, divided into 57 areas and 3,600 rooms, the entire building has its back against the mountain, facing south, with floors.symmetrical, dignified layer.
When the car parks in the lot, pilgrims will usually go through the ticket gate, then follow clockwise direction from left to right (Maitreya Palace - 9th generation Panchen Lama Tower - 4th generation Linh Thap – Spiritual tower of the community.)

``Zhumulangma Headquarters'' is ``Chomolungma Grand Headquarters''. This is the closest place that ordinary tourists without a climbing permit (a Chinese government entry permit is required) can get closest to Chomolungma (Everest) from the Chinese/Tibetan side. If you want to see the peak of the mountain, we recommend that you avoid the monsoon season and plan your visit in the pre-monsoon or post-monsoon season, around spring or autumn. It's a difficult place to visit twice in your life, so I hope you have good memories.
This is Chomolungma base camp (B. C), which you can approach after staying overnight in the base towns such as Shekal and Old Tinley. At the base camp, there are many talchoes fluttering, and the five-colored flag and Chomolangma are beautiful.
Located on the northern side of the Himalayas, Chomolungma (Mt. Everest) can be seen in the distance from near Shekal. There are also border guards and strict surveillance, so be sure to follow their instructions.
During the post-monsoon season, I went there with my then-girlfriend, now my wife, and he said, ``It's OK if we see the mountain peak hidden behind the clouds again. '' So we waited until the local Tibetan guide froze, but the mountain peak never appeared again. I have fond memories of seeing a ``rainbow'' on my way home when I was at a loss.
Had a 2-day rest stop in Shigatse City before travelling down to Mount Everest Base Camp. The hotel is modern, new and the service from the staff were great. I had a nice stay at Hilton Shigatse. The only thing is that the breakfast spread is a little bit small - hope to see more variety.

I had a great stay at St. Regis Lhasa Resort - it's probably the best hotel within Lhasa city itself. I like how they incorporated elements of Tibetan and Buddhism culture into the hotel design and architecture. At the rooftop bar, you also get a great view of the Potala Palace.
There are local people try to sell some little hand made things. My driver who is from there said to me don't touch any of their stuff otherwise they might make you to buy and price might be incredible.
The view from random places at Biswanath Chariali during clear winter mornings is just phenomenal, the striking whites of the snow capped peaks of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain Range creates a strong contrast with the plain surroundings of here. You can visit Biswanath Chariali to Tezpur Highway Road (NH15) during late October to December during early clear cloudless mornings to get the stunning view of the Kangto and other accompanying peaks.
