I saw a lot of interesting things here and im amazed by it.

The place is free to enter, it’s really huge that you need at-least a half day to fully roam around.

Just a few meters away from the nearest train station too and there’s a mall beside it so do not worry where to eat after you explore China Art Museum.

By the way if you don’t want to walk on the steps going up there are escalators in at the end of the stairs.

Unfortunately its all Mandarin. Would be great having English translation as well for those interested in arts

This Pavilion was formerly part of Expo Shanghai. A beautiful symbol of the exhibition and cultural value of Chinese architecture. Later it was retained and turned into a museum.

One of the best museums in the world. This museum stands out not only for its fabulous architecture but also for the exceptional quality of the exhibitions that are continuously refreshed. The displays feature not only Chinese or Asian artists but talent from around the world.

Well worth a visit, free entry with lots of exhibition space that looks like the art regularly changes. Building is amazing & much bigger than expected, with a fun 3D escalator puzzle to traverse the floors.

Unique building and a landmark in Shanghai. The architecture of the building almost makes the visit worth in itself, but the art is good too.

Lots of works on the history of Shanghai, the museum is really big you can spend a whole day there

The regular exhibitions are okay, what amazed me was the special exhibition of Along the River During Qingming Festival.
It has a 30 metres long screen showing moving pictures of people alongside the river during the Qingming Festival. You can see horses, camels, people talking in the tea house.
The screen also has a night view where you can see a busy street full of lights. The night view is created based on the original work.

Reach here around 5pm, can't go inside and see anything. It's good to go around here. Impressive architecture!

Huge and rather empty museum. Need to ride the elevators a lot. But it has interesting things to offer as well. Nice section dedicated to children. Had to fill in registration form in Chinese using Alipay (security guy helped) before was allowed to visit museum, so it can be inconvenient for solo foreign travelers.

Also often referred to as the China Art Palace, the China Art Museum (Zhonghuá Yìshù Gong) is the largest art gallery in Asia. It's also home to the country's most important collections of modern art, housed in the city's spectacular China Pavilion, the sole survivor of the city's Expo 2010 event (and looking a little like an upside-down pyramid).

Highlights of a visit include its fascinating collections of Chinese modern art, exhibits of prominent Chinese artists, as well as numerous works related to Shanghai's cultural development over the decades. Culture lovers should also invest a little time visiting the Oriental Art Center, one of the city's most important venues for performances of classical music, opera, and theatrical productions.

Also of note is the splendid Shanghai Grand Theatre, well regarded for its regular roster of concerts, operas, ballet performances, and traditional theater.

Huge art museum in the Pudong area. They have some really nice exhibits and the building itself is also worth a visit.

Up to 20rmb entry but free on most days. 4 Floors of Artwork, 12,10,8 & 1, Advice is to first start at the bottom floor then once completed, take the elevator located past Starbucks to the 12 then make your way down via escalator etc. Quality of pieces are out of this world from the early 1900s to 2010s.not many traditional ones though.exmining every piece in detail would take the whole day so go early if youre an art lover.

Just be ready, it's HUGE! It's so big inside, there are so many halls inside of this building. I spent 5 hours in it and didn't get to see every exhibiting rooms. Legs can't handle it anymore.

Tolles Museum! Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf alle Fälle. Freier Eintritt, man muss am Eingang den Green Code und Pass vorzeigen. Ganz leicht per Metro Linie 8 erreichbar.

It was beautiful when it was a special architectural visit as well as beautiful and enjoyable effects

This place is awesome, dedicated to the modern art. Come early since it’s free and lots of people already queue up even before the opening time. Most are free except when there’s a special exhibition. If you’re a student at a Chinese institution, you can get discount by showing your student ID. There’s a cafe inside to sit down and relax but the coffee was meh. Their gift shop is also pretty.
