鼎泰丰 reviews
21 I had good memories of Din Tai Fung, so I took a taxi and went to Xintiandi.
Dim sum has dry tops and is not warm. There is no Morning Glory stir-fried menu.
Overall it's disappointing.
The chatter of employees fills the empty store.
I feel like I lost my memories of Shanghai.
The vinegar wonton was amazing with green sichuan pepper flakes, very aromatic yet softly spicy, not the hot and numb feeling like the normal sichuan pepper feeling in other kinds of dish. Xiao long bao, the signature, is not a big hit for me. Sorry for not being a fan of fat meaty taste, but it's a deli anyway. The skin was perfectly made to store the meat juice inside. The first bite, I poured the vinegar on the spoon and bite the sauce onto the spoon, it was too much fatty feeling for me. I manage with other bites by chewing off a piece of the skin and pour vinegar in, then bite the whole thing, it's much more better
A good place to try. Price band is acceptable in such a location in Shanghai.
Amazing Xiao long bao and fried rice, the service was also top-notch. Will come here again just for the fried rice
I think this restaurant got a Michelin star in Shanghai and it’s very well deserved. The place is very clean very nice and very luxurious feel. Waiter are very nice and speak English very well. The food is also very amazing. Their signature dish is the xiao long Bao but the chicken soup and crab minced tofu are also very good. Highly recommend this place although it might be more expensive compared to your typical meal in china.
This place is permanently closed as of July, 2020.
The nearest restaurant in the area, same franchise, is in Kerry Center.
말해뭐해 존맛입니다. 그렇지만 당분간 못간다는 것이 슬프네요 ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I've been there few years ago. It is sad that I can go there for awhile. Best dumplings in this place!
Taste, quality and ambiance of Din Tai Fung just like every other Din Tai Fungs I’ve been too! Really tasty food, quick service and nice ambiance. Clean restaurant. Attentive staff. Located very close to the Portman Ritz Hotel. It is on a second floor.
Nice food here. Fits well to it’s reputation. However, it is full of tourists and we definitely had better XLB in Shanghai
Very Spacious and Clean and also good quality of Dim Sum but not better than Seoul Din Tai Fung
Upholds the DTF standard on XLB, this location is not very busy, was seated right away for lunch.
Sure they come cheaper and more authentic-feeling but when it comes to quality and finesse, DTF is the ruling monarch of xiaolongbao. If you haven't eaten them here then you've barely had them at all.
Waaay overpriced. Everything you're paying for is probably the service. Food is good, but not worth the price and not mind blowing. I'd say, you can skip this one. For delicious soup dumplings, try Jia Jia Tang Bao not far away from here. It's a tiny not fancy place that's very busy, and you might need to wait, but it's worth it!
Really good dumpling especially the black truffle with pork ones. A bit spars on the drinking options in my mind and closes quite early
We had a late dinner, the dumplings were very good but the pork and the cake were not. I would recommend the dumplings anyway.
The food is spectacular. Xiao Long Bao dumplings or soup dumplings are special. Many different fillings including pork, chicken, hairy crab and gourd are available. The atmosphere and service is great. Many different locations around Shanghai.
A lot of people consider their xiaolongbao as the best one in town! Thin skin xiaolongbao that's filled with flavourful meat and broth; freshly made. It's a Taiwanese restaurant chain that beats Shanghainese xiaolongbaos at their own game.
The service is ok but the food not as good as the one I have tried in Hong Kong (taste and quantity).
Consistently delicious, this branch is one of the best I've been to. Definitely on par with the pu dong ones. Always make a point to come here once (or more!) per trip.
Enjoyable dim sum place and always happy to have din tai fung's dim sum! They serve good quality dim sum and it is reasonable price!
Here in China there seems to be the impression that these are awesome dumplings. I myself find them a bit better than anywhere else but much more money. The service is great and this is what I think makes it upscale. Anyway, overpriced and not special.
