Wonderful hotel with beautiful views, fantastic service and generous facilities in impeccable condition. They also focus on sustainability with wooden key cards and no single-use-plastic in the rooms. We loved it! Make a stop at the mandarin cake shop. It’s worth it.

My only complaint about this hotel is that I only stayed one night before a flight home to North America. This hotel is the epitome of first class service, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Excellent location allows you to walk to malls, the Pearl Tower or along the gorgeous boardwalk. We had to leave before their breakfast service began but they were kind enough to pack some juice, fresh fruit & pastries in take out bags for us to eat in our car to the airport. Would go back in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for customer excellence and perfection this is the place to go. Everything was perfect throughout the whole stay, there is nothing to complain about.

自疫情以來，因為公務偶有機會入住文華，身為 A Fan of M. O, 始終相信文華鶴立雞群的品牌價值及服務，但一些高階品牌飯店不應有的瑕疵一再出現，也開始懷疑文華是個隨遇而安的老飯店嗎？

此次入住浦東文華的文華江景特大號床間，不良體驗接踵而至

1. 明確交代前台何時準備冰鎮香檳用冰桶送至房間，直至過時間回房，再等半小時也未見冰桶
2. 因上述而致電客房服務，接電話的男服務員，細小、平淡且無服務熱誠的聲音，一度讓我以為打擾他休息
3. 送來的冰桶是食用冰塊桶，而非冰鎮酒桶，經我說明，第二次才提供正確的冰鎮酒桶
4. 浴室蓮蓬頭水管連接處未拴緊，直接煙花似的從接縫處爆出，自己手動拴緊
5. 浴室牆上留有前房客毛髮，自己灑水沖洗
6. 要看江景幾乎搞到要斜視，但必須老實說還是有江景

以上種種，或許是自己太吹毛求疵，但想想房價，或許是自己太高估作為粉絲的包容力吧

Outstanding service on every level from all staff members. From check in to check out, everyone we encountered was eager to help us and serve us! I would particularly like to mention Lynn (and all the staff) in the Club Lounge for being so helpful and accommodating and always having a smile. Getting served by the restaurant manager at Zest was also nice, she was very friendly and personable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as well. On the day of check out we were allowed to check out at 4pm at no extra charge, the club lounge staff held our luggage, and set up a taxi for us to the airport later that evening. We were allowed to stay in the lounge, use the restaurant, and Qi bar until the taxi came. When the taxi arrived, we were privately escorted downstairs to find that our bags were already in the cab and waiting for us. Service is what makes this hotel so special, however the Club River Room we had was very luxurious as well and had an outstanding view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. I will absolutely be back to this property and highly recommend it to anyone in Shanghai.

Very luxury hotel but low profile. Quite good location. Every room is equiped with a bath tube. It's better to have a hot bath and drink a cup of cocktail in the afternoom. Das Mandarin Oriental ist auch in Shanghai ein Highlight, super gelegen auf Pudong am Fluss. Sehr grosszügiges edles Ambiente, und hier wird gut englisch gesprochen und verstanden! Das Buffett war wie auch schon in Bangkok nicht zu toppen, ausserdem gibt es im Hotel auch noch ein chinesisches Restaurant mit Michelin Stern.

I want very much to like this hotel, the rooms are exquisite and the decor is to die for but the location is in the middle of nowhere by the docks in Pudong. The buffet however is outstanding and probably has the best Indian and Thai on offer in this city

Great place for a romantic weekend

This was our first stop on our honeymoon and it definitely set the tone. We had the best time in this hotel. The staff was friendly and the massage is an absolute experience which I highly recommend.

Although the surrounding area was inder construction when I went there, the hotel is in a good location with nice river views. The service and staff is excellent and so are all the facilities and restaurant. Amazing rooms and everything kept at hogh standarda. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel, room is well maintained, tub is the room is amazingly huge.spa and swimming pool also very nice.breakfast is the only thing needs to be upgraded, not much selection and all the cheese looks like has been there forever, super dry!

Great stay for business trip. Specious, nice and clean rooms with fabulous bathrooms, excellent room service. Big gymnasium and swimming pool. If you are busy, it's better to have a car with driver, as location a little bit far from center, about 15-20 minutes walk to IFC Mall.

This hotel is one of many international hotels located on the business side of Shanghai. It overlooks the Bund, which is a nice touch. You need a car to get anywhere, but the concierge was always happy to help us get one (and Didi is now available to international users in Shanghai). The rooms are spacious and bright; there’s lots of natural light. The concierge - some are helpful, some less so. I’ve provided my feedback separately to management on this. On the whole I would stay here again if I’m in town for work.

Five stars services, however the rooms fitting are not. Lots of faulty amenities and toiletry, not sure if its the scarcity of new hotels in Shanghai but it should be better.

Typical MO style. But lack of dining options in the vicinity at night. That said, the hotel has got some nice restaurants. Loved the spa. Some rooms have a gorgeous view of the review and tub that overlooks it.

Outstanding hotel with very warm staff and excellent customer service. With young children, the staff "child-proofed" the suite, placing foam on the corners of furniture and powerpoint protectors. They catered for every need. Highly recommended and very good value.

Fantastic! I stayed in many, many nice hotels in Asia (and elsewhere) during my 18 years of sales work. This hotel is for sure on the top-10 list. Perhaps even top-5. Service is really too notch
