10An ancient city, a water town not too far from Shanghai. Take a leisurely walk around the city. You must buy a ticket to enter and walk around the city.with visits to various places Prices vary.
Nice fancy place.you roam in narrow streets next to little rivers.streets are full of coffeeshops streetfood and souvenirs.overall a little different china not that crowded and you will feel like in willage not town.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, reputed as the Venice of Shanghai, is a 1700-year-old town with old bridges, old streets.
This was the place for filming mission impossible 3 with tom cruise as the main actor
Not the greatest, but worth a trip if you're nearby. It's a pleasant walk along the river with many shops and restaurants. However it's a typical tourist trap with cheap wares being hawked left and right.
A beautiful walk, recommend to visit early in the morning. There is big parking lot next to the main entrance.
An ancient water town that is worth a visit for its scenery. However, do note that entering the town is free, tickets are necessary only when entering the various attractions. Bought the tickets to 4 attractions and only managed to go for 3. (We didn't manage to visit Ke Zhi Yuan. Do plan your time wisely we were distracted by shops.) Only the Qing period post office is worth a visit out of the 3.
Easy access from Shanghai, avoid going on weekend as it will full with locals and tourist. Suggest to go early in the morning to avoid chaos and can hang out at the cafe while waiting for the night view.
Amazing beautiful place.you can imagine what it’s like there during that period. Many parts of the town really is still authentic. I was there on a weekend. I believed it’s a big mistake because there were SO MANY visitors you can hardly walk properly.
Other than that.this is a must go when in Shanghai and do try the street food sold there some are really good but some are let’s say exotic.
Very crowded, a bit of a tourist trap, but very picturesque and charming. Some of the food is sketchy; I saw one woman bring a dirty towel to the river, clean it with the green water, and bring it back to use inside her establishment. I still ate some of the food
Historical site still in operation. Popular tourist area. The easiest way to get there is taking the metro subway Line 17 and get off at Zhujiajiao station. Take a taxi to get there. It cost about RMB12, save you a lot of walking for several blocks. Local bicycle rider will offer you a ride for RMB20 to get there. Better to take a taxi
