38 The food was absolutely delicious and some of the ingredients from Yunan are really special as for example the smoked ham and the white mushrooms.
The price however was way too steep!
Nice service but food is really only mediocre and way too pricey for that. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately
The place is in a fantastic location, just a few meters from the main street on the Bund. The place has a very oriental vibe in terms of its decoration, music and setting; The food was very tasty and the service was good, although they don't speak much English and they brought us the bill home in 20 minutes to pay for it.
Highly recommended, I'll be back!
Jampacked so reservation is recommended.
Nice ambiance, good Yunnan food and friendly crew.
Location is perfect, near the Bund.
I absolutely love this place! It’s good to be back after covid. It’s packed and the quality is still very good. A great selection of Yunnan dishes that never gets old.
The food is unfortunately nothing special, it is very adapted for foreign palates. It is a restaurant especially for foreign tourists, so if you are looking for something original to eat, it is not the right place.
I was afraid it would be too touristic but possitively surprised. Spacious, stylsh and tasty dishes. The guy serving us was great and professional. Yunnan kitchen. Spicy or not spicy, all good options
A very nice place with great interior. The food is average. Very close to the Bund. Also great views around this place.
Amazing reataurant. The menu is rich yet not extremely long. Mountain pancakes are must try. Spectacular noodles with vegetables and good beef. Highly recommend to visit and book. Also prices are quite ok and affordable
The food was HEAVEN indeed. The staff was professional and nice. Food was on point, prices may be a little higher than what someone is used to when it comes to Chinese food. But definitely worth it. The view is amazing. Do give it a try.
I don't know about the restaurant but the bar has a really nice vibe and the cocktails are really interesting.
Definitely a location to keep in your to-go list, when in Shanghai. You can either chose the one on the Bund or the one in the French Concession. The environment, the freshness of the ingredients and the preparation are excellent. One could argue that it is a fusion cuisine that is tailored for foreigners. I agree.
Nevertheless, there's no compromise on quality and taste and hard core Chinese cuisine might not work for everyone.
Amazing trendy restaurant. I visited them 4 years ago and was lucky enough to go again last week. Authentic real Chinese food split per different regions. Quite pricey for China though, around £60 per person in total. I would recommend if you are not too used to Chinese food and need a break of the normal stuff they eat. Staff very friendly, English speakers some of them, and a very modern, relaxed atmosphere.
Food and Ambience superly good. Tealeaves salad is a must to order. Service were good. However, could have much welcoming smile from the receptionist.
Nice bar. Everyone in the bar speaks English, the atmosphere is great. Good place to visit with some friends
This place deserves good review. An interesting and refine food, and make sure you need to book a table in advance.
Drink was good. Took a long time, bar wasn't remotely full. They forgot our food order and insulted us, so can't really recommend. Doesn't have a water view of the bund.
Lost Heaven will always have a special place in my heart as it introduced me to one of my favorite Chinese cuisines that is Yunnan. You’ll find plenty of great choices in their extensive menu but my ultimate favorite dish would have to be their Dali chicken. Prices are not the cheapest for Chinese standards but quite a steal if you consider its great location just along The Bund where most restaurants are expensive.
It's a nice place to have dinner if you are a foreigner in Shanghai, everything is well adapted to western use, English menus and waiters and they take foreign credit cards. The food was good but I felt I was in a Chinese restaurant out of China, adapted to the western taste. Still, nice decoration and the restaurant is in a good location.
