小杨生煎馆吴江路店

I love Yang’s for fried dumplings! I love dumplings but fried dumplings are another level! This location was a bit hard to find. It is located inside a food center up a few escalators. You order at the front entrance and then go get your order at a window.

I tried sooo many outlets and this xiao yang sheng jian is equally so good! The original ones are sooooo juicy and the skin is so crispy. The soup burst out when I had a bite of it. It’s the best sheng jian bao! I absolutely love it.

If you are around the corner, do drop by. The shop is located one the 2nd storey.

I'm still thinking about these amazing dumplings.
The place is not too hard to find and signage is good. Look for the food centre and it's on the 2nd level.

English menu is provided and you order as soon as you walk in, collect your dumplings and find a Table.

The pork ones were the best and they were explosive of soup so make sure you're ready. I'm not convinced the vegetarian was just vegetables- they were okay but a little powdery. The spicy beef noodles were a nice accompaniment but nothing to rave about.

Portion sizing above was great for 2 people and it came out to be 50rmb ($10 Au)

I definitely would go back over and over.

Traditional shanghai style pan fried dumpling. There are three kinds of fillings, 1) Pork (sweet-and-salty flavor with meat juice), 2) shrimp, 3) shepherd's purse.

來到上海，小楊生煎是值得品嚐，位置在南京西路地鐵站二號出口二樓。小楊生煎的特色是皮薄肉汁多，相對於大壺春則是皮厚較有咬勁，大壺春較有上海老味道。可惜小楊的小餛飩皮厚肉少，缺乏特色。生煎各有優點，喜好由人。

Amazing SJB chain available throughout Shanghai! Don't pass up the many chances to try their 6 pack of their famous three flavors. Most important though is how delightful the thin crunchy folds are tucked underneath the fried bottom of each dumpling. Absolute perfection!
Pork: Amazing rich pork belly flavor, with a slight sweetness. (9.5/10)
Shrimp: Great shrimp texture, snap and flavor.nice and juicy. (9/10)
Veggie: Wow, this reminds me of a delicious quiche. (7/10)

It's a cheat eat for a this shanghainese specialty. ShenJianBao. Fried meat bun. Stand in line. Order and pay. Find a table downstairs or upstairs. Collect your food when called. Across the street from the legendary xiao long bao place, Jia Jia Tang Bao.

Indeed the best dumplings in the city and overall the best dumplings of my life. It is not at all expensive and went there twice because it was too good.
Just beware that it is in a shopping mall on the first floor therefore slightly complicated to find but show the people in the road the name and they will show you where it is, after that. Enjoy!

Truly amazing 生煎包！ Great prices and taste out of this world! I will miss it when I return home. Must try if you're in Shanghai!

公司附近，所以吃过好几次了，总有游客认为小杨生煎是上海特色生煎，其实不是的，每个人的口味不一样，有些人觉得小杨生煎比大壶春生煎馒头好吃，有些人反之，都是很正常的（我就喜欢大壶春那样发酵过的皮）但确实小杨生煎不是上海特色，至于以后会不会成为，再说了

Soup dumplings meet pot stickers in this hip, upbeat dumpling spot in the Nanjing West Road section of Jing'An.

Great dumplings - they have a English menu so you can point and order without Mandarin. "Shepard purse" dumplings have veggies but may also have pork (just FYI for vegetarians.)

Go inside the food court and take escalator to the 2nd level. Order at front desk and pick up at window to the left. Plenty of seating in the back.

Yang's Fried Dumplings is an institution in Shanghai. If you can't find the famous Dumplings of Shanghai. You Have not been to Shanghai if you have not been to Yang's ;-D
