I came to the airport to go back to Bangkok at 5 AM, the securities were not able to speak English.so i used translator app and showed them my ticket, they already knew i will go to Bangkok at 8-9 AM but still they talked in Chinese language with each other and did not let me go inside.while many chinese went inside without problem.i still don't understand why they just stand up and look like stupid.why did not they just let me in? It remains mystery to me.until finally i was helped by a flight attendant who could speak a bit english.what was the morning security talking about at that time? Did they want to take picture with me? This is what i hate.even if we use translator app.they don't want to use translator app to talk back to me.they just ignore me and serve other chinese passangers.

My flight is after midnight so the airport is bit quiet. However the flow is still pretty smooth. Awesome Year of the Dragon setup. There is kids playground at the hall which is thoughtfulness.

Nice, neat airport. Semi modern, semi rural. Fairly comprehensive with everything and the flow of spaces make sense. Drinking water dispensers readily stationed everywhere.

Airport immigration is cumbersome and takes an eternity but the customs is a stark contrast that took no moment and was no bother at all.

The airport is clean, big and has this fresh vibe. The workers do not know English so pls be prepared with Google translator or something similar. Pls note that You can’t pay for a taxi with a card. You need to have Alipay or cash. The cost of a taxi from the airport to Haikou Marriott Hotel around 9PM is approximately 134 Yuan

This airport seems to be boiling every time we're here. There's large sections with no A/C, which is challenging when tons of people congregate for their luggage. Sections are more aged than expected, but there's an easy link to the high speed rail, which is nice, stores are fine. A bit lacking for good places to eat.

All airports are hateful in general. This one isn't that much different from any other.

The toilet was so clean. Bu please give more attention about how to delivering the information in english. The announcer speaks english but sound’s like chinese. A lot of manual facility written in english.: (

It's a very small and unorganized congested airport and we needed to catch a bus to get to the terminal and to get on the airplane. I supposed Hainan is not a popular destination for overseas travellers and it is still being developed.

Ok. Domestic arrivals area is very cozy. Domestic departure is typical. I don’t know about international/transborder terminal, but I heard it is different.

先進，一點都不輸台灣的機場，雖然看起來略小，但是國際機場該有的配備都有，而且十分乾淨，相較于高雄小港機場有過之而無不及。

我是從台灣飛往海口的，出關時經過的免稅店有點小，不太適合逛，出關感覺也小小的，一開始是以為應該是跟小港機場差不多的規模。然而因為那天剛好遇到颱風，班機有延誤，我搭乘的是海南航空，落地已經是半夜一點了，因為有申請旅遊不便險的關係，所以一落地就前往櫃檯申請班機延誤證明，但因為落地時間太晚，所以櫃檯沒有人，但後來是服務台的人來幫我接洽，他們就跟我確認了身份跟班機，然後要了電子信箱後就說會幫我把資料寄到信箱，本來一開始還有點不放心的，畢竟不是海南航空的櫃檯，但是在隔晚，我的手機就響了，是海南航空寄來的延誤證明。心裡真是高興萬分，感覺機場的服務還是挺好的。

It's a small and extremely busy airport. The waiting area is overcrowded. Going through international boarder and custom are reasonable fast.

Customer service was horrific! No communication when there are major delays at check in. Staff walking around without a care and not being helpful at all.

I dont know what’s worse. The slow service or the no service! Pick up your game to cater to international tourist!

This review is for Haikou Meilan Airport hotel that is just opposite the domestic airport. The rooms are what you would expect from a 5-Star hotel - clean and neat. Though you may still smell smoke from a non-smoking room. Everything is new including the hotel. There is a convenience store below and you are just next to their shopping mall. Do not rely on the staff for information apart from your hotel and your stay. It is possible to walk (20 mins) to the International airport.

The terminal building is uniquely decorated, here you can already draw the first ideas about the culture and history of the country and the island of Hainan. But customs officers can spoil the rest. They unreasonably take things and then don’t give them away. This scheme is a totalitarian state. They do not react to petitions. Be careful.

在新年期间我俩夫妻回家乡海南省琼海市潭门镇新潮村六队渡过新年。在出去游玩经过附近村道路边，此本地女人无言无顾的大骂粗口，吐口水。本人马上问她干嘛要骂我俩，就让她对我俩道歉，但是她还是不愿意，态度嚣张。两人发生争吵，到对方家门口，再次叫她道歉，还是不愿意，此女人更无理取闹，态度极度恶劣。
当场，此本地女人还有10几个人在她身边和她家人，对方的家婆还用拖鞋打人，后来此本地女人还用櫈子打伤我的右脚，当时场面混乱。争吵理论后，结果还是不道歉！后来，大家在场的看热闹的，劝架的都说大过年，都是一场误会，和解就好，可是她还是不道歉，之后大家散了，各自回家了。

过了一会儿，潭门派出所到我老家找我，我才知道此本地女人报警。报警后，派出所介入，要求本人到派出所录口供问话，问话期间，此本地女人和派出所民警说，一定要让我拘留，如此嚣张的语气？请问派出所民警就这样处理事情吗？她说了算？？？不用调查证据证明？她骂人，而且打人还要报警？还拘留本人24小时， 在拘留期间我脚严重受伤，加上胃痛，我要求当地派出所民警让我看医生，验伤。但派出所人员无人理会，再三要求派出所人员，然后他们才叫我朋友买药和胃药给我。 过了24小时后放我出来，当地派出所还警告我不能出境。还有一名警员让我不要再和此本地女人争执下去，离她远点，不然后果自负！

如果我出境，派出所部门会把我列入黑名单，以后不能再入中国境内。
这个本地女人是不是在当地有黑社会恶势力背景和黑社会有关，能让我本人不能出入境的权力？是不是以后所有在外国回来的华侨，中国公民就这样随便骂人侮辱吐口水就来个欺诈？
而当地女人却不用拘留? 还在外面大摇大摆显示嚣张，一定让这个美国佬去拘留坐牢。
而对方无理打人骂架却不用拘留? 还在外面嚣张自己骂架行为派出所会私帮她。请问此本地女人与派出所有着什么利益关系呢？敢说出如此胆大包天的话？

这是什么法理? 难道派出所收受此本地女人利益? 而对方却不用拘留? 还让她在录口供期间让她和外面和几个同伙人，谈笑风声，哈哈大笑，任意放纵此本地女人所作所为？
大概10天后，派出所召传我问话说我殴打她，为什么要我签殴打呢，我都有脚伤在身，明明是她骂架打人在先，为什么还反过来说叫我打伤赔医疗费10几万给她，还说她有孕三个星期，证据呢？怀孕与我何关？派出所还让我签字，才能放我出去，
第一张是住院验伤费用大概9百多，
第二张怀孕证明，

后来, 当我回到乡下听村民告诉我，此本地女人要求结案条件是，本人赔她10几万才罢休。不然让派出所继续拘留我。才能结案，此不是欺诈行为吗？而本地派出所都无可奈何？请问此本地女人到底和派出所民警有什么利益关系？
请问当地派出所，本地女人说哪天结案就结案，想怎样方式了结就怎样处理吗？到底是警察在办事？还是此本地女人指挥办事？
再次请问此本地女子与当地派出所什么背景关系，能一手遮天？无法无天，难道这就是你们派出所的办案方式吗？还是一贯处理案件作风？还是此本地女人有黑社会背景促使派出所民警如此办案，同流合污？

Meilan airport serves Haikou City, Capital city of Hainan Province located 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of the city center and was opened in 1999, replacing the old Dayingshan Airport.
It connects city with Hainan eastern ring high-speed railway. The Railway Station built underground just beside the airport terminal.
Currently airport is under going phase two expansion. After that, it will have two terminals, two runway with a capacity of 35 million passengers a year.

For international airport this airport is just to small, cant compare it with another international airport around the world

I have to say it's changing and getting better every time you go there. That's partially because, as “Chinese Hawaii, ” tropical province Hainan is being built into an international tourist island. Unbelievable duty free stores are continuously showing up and the airport is renovating and expanding in recent years. Most airport staff are very helpful. However nothing much here in this airport. Very small international airport with only 2 duty free shops and one small toast on 2nd level.
